Health Screening - Pamper Days 2019
Round two dates and locations - Please see flyer >>
Pamper day – screen project was established by the founding women of Waminda, as a soft entry point for women in accessing culturally appropriate clinical care and services. Today, our Pamper day – screening program is principally designed for health care check-ups provided by our Aboriginal Health Workers and Nurses and a range of well-being activities provided by Beauticians and Hairdressers. We also provide women with up to date evidence-based health facts and information provided by other Program staff, as well as running regular community consultation. We also host specialist staff from external services, ie. Breast Screen Australia, to compliment what we can offer.
The Pamper day – screen program delivers the service to various community locations, including Wreck Bay, Jerrinja, Ulladulla, St Georges Basin, Nowra , Warilla/Shellharbour and Coomaditchie at Kemblawarra.
“Pamper day is wonderful and gives us all a chance to get together catch up and have health checks in a natural environment” Nowra Pamper Day 2017.
“I appreciate that it was held in my community making it more accessible for me to attend. It was a fantastic day, lots of information and good will” Basin View Pamper Day 2018.
