Aboriginal Women’s Respite “Healing House” Project

This project is a partnership between South Coast AMS, Carer’s NSW and Oolong House (Aboriginal Men’s D&A Rehab).

The aim of the respite program is to provide short term respite accommodation, centre based day programs / services and carer’s camps to Aboriginal clients and their families on the South Coast.

Aboriginal women living with a mental illness, or their Aboriginal carer’s are able to use the healing house to have a rest from the pressures of daily life.

Waminda operates a Respite House for Aboriginal Women in Nowra.
